I'm a student from Belgium, having studied computer science in Ghent and now philosophy and artificial intelligence in Leuven. My education is more a pursuit of interests than a preparation for working life, which I'm at the moment still trying to escape.

Besides my studies I'm mainly occupied learning about wine and organising stuff in student associations. I love a good talk, especially over some food or a glass of wine (or a specialty beer).

Travelling is a means for me to discover both nature and culture. Most important on a trip are the sights, for example magnificent natural panorama's or beautiful architecture, as well as the local products and customs.

Travelling is expensive, and sometimes it is so nice not having to put up a tent and sleep in whatever weather the day brings. Of course, there's a social aspect to couch surfing, but nothing you can't do equally well by meeting people in the local pub.

Musica, film e libri

Music: a lot, from classical to (soft) rock, indie, ambient, epic, some metal, some pop ... Best band ever will always be Dire Straits!

Books: mostly epic adventures or histories like the Odyssey or the Silmarillion, but also philosophical works and poetry.

Movies: anything with a decent storyline or more abstract films, as long as there's emotion in it. Good examples are The King's Speech and The Fountain.
