Now that we are able to explore the world, side by side, we want to meet new friends, new skies, new colors from every corner of the world.

ABOUT ME

As individuals, we may seem very different, BUT AS A COUPLE, we work in harmony (literally, we can sing for you and play guitar for hours haha).

Here's a "little" about the two of us (separately and together) -

Cydney: The first thing people usually notice about me is that I'm outgoing. I pretty much always have been. I study Cultural Anthropology at Columbia which speaks to the fact that I LOVE learning about and engaging with people, in general.

I have friends from many different walks of life - ethnically, financially, artistically, culturally, etc. I have yet (as of March 2012) to step outside of the U.S. which is SO frustrating as a person who is so interested in studying ways of life in other countries.

Wayne: I'm a pretty simple guy. I can say a lot in a few words, but can sit and talk for hours. I talk with my hands. I've been working since I was thirteen, so I could eventually play guitar in a band and travel the world. It paid off. I thought doing things on my own was cool, and then I met someone who made it cooler - the one who wrote an essay above my little paragraph here. So for your reading sake, I'll stop here.

We like to keep things clean and respect what we've been given. We treat people the way we'd like to be treated, and expect the same from everyone around us (so we get road rage quite often!).

So basically, WHAT YOU'LL GET FROM HOSTING US IS:

yummy dinners (veg, vegan, fruitarian...we pretty much can cook anything); good movie-nights; good silent nights (if you're not the night bird kinda host); good adventures (if you'd like to join us); good direction takers; good direction givers (if you're lookin to travel around the States); respectful couch surgers; and a good bottle of wine (if you like to party that way).

And we're not shy, so if we left out any important details you'd like to know, ASK AWAY :)

1. Breathe.
2. On your last breath, the only thing that will have really mattered is how you loved.
3. You are what you eat.
4. Let all the greys come in. It's natural.
5. Dye your hair 17 different colors in one lifetime.
6. Relax.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, as surfers. We're new to this, and hopefully can expand the way we meet and greet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We're newbies! And super proud of it.
The first couch-surfing experience is the most important, I feel.
Could be wrong...but we're usually right.
Just kidding.
