ABOUT ME

I consider myself to be in my "second childhood". I have been a wife and a parent and a responsible citizen, and now find my self free and unencumbered. I have a home to share with travelers and am interested in their stories.
I would also like to do a bit of travel myself; have been a few places, but not enough!!
My home is simple, but welcoming.

I am new to this project, although I have known of it for a while.
I am interested in making travel more affordable and fun, both for myself and those who come here to California.

Interests

I am a bit of a home body, but do like taking people around to interesting sites in my area.
I spend a lot of time with my family. I like reading and board games and cards,
and I like everything about Burning Man; my favorite time of the year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stuck on a hiway between West Sahara and Senagal. Everyone stuffed in the van got out to await rescue.
It was prayer time, and the men in their flowing robes were all in a line paying their homage. A timeless and awesome moment. Nothing arund us but vast desert and the power of faith and tradition.
