Yaarow is a Hummus Rock outfit comprised of current and former Berklee College of Music students whose unique sound has been making waves in the Boston music scene. With a sonic palette somewhere between Kneebody, Soundgarden, Gruvis Malt, and Radiohead, Guitarist/Singer/Composer Noaa Rienecker's fiery and nuanced arrangements demand attention while delivering grooves of bone-shattering periodicity and primal touch. The music is brought to visceral reality through Bassist Jonny Chapman (a sub-tectonic incarnation of Geddy Lee), Tenor player Storm D'Angelo, the only Saxophonist ever to be expelled from Hell, Keyboardist Danae Greenfield, a magic elf-being with trans-dimensional ears and a 0% tolerance for bullshit, and the illustrious, ever-versatile Clemens "Lemons" Grassmann, 19.6th Emperor of Germany, on Drums.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are going on tour on the west coast in July with our dear friends The Arsonists, starting in Seattle and working our way through Astoria, Portland, Medford, and down to the Bay Area for some dates in SF and San Jose.

This is our first tour - we've been booking and organizing everything ourselves, and are incredibly excited to hit the road.
We're looking for garage floors/backyards/couches to crash on while we're traveling! There are five of us, all in our 20s, all respectful and willing to A) cook a delicious meal with you and/or B) play music for your friends in your backyard in exchange for lodging. We realize there are a lot of us, and endeavor to make our stay with you as easy and unburdened as possible. We clean up after ourselves, will do your dishes, and are not the types to show up at your door sloppy drunk and puke on your cat.

We're primarily looking for lodging in Portland from 7/13-7/16.
