HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One of my friends is a host in Hong Kong, and I know couchsurfing from a magazine. It is so great to meet local people to know the places that I am visiting.

---Hiking---
special experience:
1. 8-hour day hiking in Hong Kong, 30km. first time to walk for that long.
2. 3-day hiking in Yubeng, Yunnan (western China), visited a small village which is at the foot of a holy snow mountain of Tibetan Buddhism in China (Meri snow mountain). Amazing and beautiful views.
3. Winter hiking in Jungfrau area (Switzerland), really cold and my shoes are not waterproof....but luckily everything was ok and I enjoyed the views very much.
4. One-day hiking trip in Liechtenstein, from "Spring" to "Winter", big change of weather.....

--Travelling--
special experience:
1. Visited Beijing to find the behind stories of Hutong (what's this? please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hutong) in old town area in Beijing, spent 3 days on walking walking walking.....visited different Hutong again and again

2. Took a 3-day train (seat...no bed) from northern Australia to southern Australia, crossing through the central desert. Longest train trip. But I want to take the train from Beijing to Moscow, crossing through Siberia in future.

3. Hiking trip in Yubeng as described above

4. Exchange in Switzerland, great opportunity for me to travel in Europe, a new environment for me.

5. Great experience to see northern light and amazing sky in Abisko
