About Me
Salam!
I’m Yazan — a talkative dreamer, adventurous soul, and full-time tech wiz who feels most at peace near (or under) the sea. I work in cybersecurity by day, and by night I’m usually geeking out over music, art, or deep conversations about life, people, and the universe.
I’m also a scuba diving instructor, so the sea is like a second home to me. I’ve had the privilege of exploring some incredible underwater worlds—and I love sharing stories about what it's like to float among coral reefs or dive with sharks.
I believe in the beauty of human diversity 🌍. We all come from different backgrounds, cultures, and races—and I think that’s what makes the world so fascinating. Every culture has something unique to offer, and I’m always eager to learn from the people I meet.
I love food (especially local street food when I travel), but I’ll be honest—I can’t cook to save my life 😅. I’ll gladly help with dishes though!
When I travel or host, I’m all about genuine connection, laughter, and trading stories. Whether we’re wandering through city streets, jamming to some tunes, or just chilling over coffee, I’m always up for good vibes and meaningful moments.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that the best part of travel isn’t the landmarks—it’s the people. Couchsurfing isn’t just about finding a place to sleep; it’s about sharing stories, cultures, and moments that turn strangers into friends.
I love connecting with locals and other travelers to get a more real, human experience—whether it’s over coffee ☕, a walk through the city, or late-night conversations about life. Every person has a story worth hearing, and I’m always curious to listen, learn, and share mine too.
As a host, I enjoy offering travelers a warm welcome and a sense of home. As a guest, I bring good energy, respect, and an open mind—and probably a few wild scuba diving stories along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam with wild dolphins and a whale shark in the Red Sea, and dived with white fin sharks, eagle rays, a massive loggerhead, and a leatherback turtle across the Maldives and Jeddah. Each dive brought me closer to the raw beauty and power of the ocean.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories from my scuba diving adventures 🌊, cybersecurity insights 💻, and thoughts on tech and spirituality. I’m all about meaningful conversations and love learning from others.
I might not be a chef, but I’m happy to help explore new local foods 🍲 and share music, art, or travel tips. As a guest, I bring respect, positive vibes, and an open mind.
