ABOUT ME

Iranian-American global citizen, born and raised in the States... obsessed with culture, identity, literature and making connections! My undergraduate focus was on South Asia and the Middle East and I hope to pursue graduate work in Urban Studies (I am fascinated by ways in which physical space affect community development). I'm currently working in rural development in Afghanistan with the Aga Khan Foundation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spend a morning eating pomegranates and wandering the streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh and the same afternoon half a world away, taking in the sites and sounds of old Damascus, Syria (two cities I have fallen in love with!)
