I live in Mayto, a very rural Mexican village in Cabo Corrientes, south of Puerto Vallarta. (It is so isolated it didn't even show up on Couchsurfing's location list.) Mayto has miles of gorgeous beach and awesome sunsets. I have a beautiful yard in which I live with my dogs, cats, chickens and parrot--oh, and me, the food provider! I retired from Canada two years ago and found the people and surroundings of Cabo Corrientes enchanting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am interested in Couchsurfing because I want to share this beautiful place and because, in this sparsely populated area, it would be lovely to see a new face. I am an independent thinker and self-sufficient by nature.

A year ago I had a stroke. I have recovered and have a great support system in the local community, including daily housecleaning. What I am looking forward to from Couchsurfing is a good conversation.
