I'm a scientist who just finished school and am getting a break before starting the next step. I've mainly lived and gone to school in the US, with a year in Germany.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love the Miyazaki films, have a soft spot for dry British comedies, and probably haven't seen as many foreign/indy films as I should have.

Music: Mostly I like groups that are just a little bit non-mainstream, like the Decemberists, Cake, and the Squirrel Nut Zippers. I'm hearing most of my new music through my partner, who's more into indy groups.

Books: I haven't been reading a lot of books lately, more things online. I'm kind of a current events nut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting by the shore at Acadia National Park, hearing the waves crash against the rocks and seeing the most stars in the sky ever.
