About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Opening my own restaurant!

ABOUT ME

I am 25 years old. I studied International studies at UCI, and I went back home to work for two years. I am so sick of the boring office work. I deserve to learn more things about culinary, so I am going to studying in the culinary institute of america. I am really excited about this because I will never have this kind of education if I stay in Taiwan. I want to open my own restaurant one day.

PHILOSOPHY

i believe that every human being has social obligation to society. We ought to do something good to give back. That's why I want to open local restaurant to provide healthy and delicious food at reasonable price.

my favorite musician is Cat Power. I just finish reading Murakami Haruki's IQ84 for the second time. I really love his novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three years ago, there was a typhoon that literally destroyed a village in the rural area of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The houses, schools, and people were swept away by flood. It was shocking for me when I heard the news. Some villagers left the village before the disaster. However, they were having hard to get their normal life back. They did not only lost their families, neighbors, and house, but they also lost their only school. For three years, they have to live in another village and borrow other village's school because our government is so slow. My friend who is a professor teaches education in New York wants to help them badly. She managed to open a class to have her students to teach those elementary students who are in rural area English via skype. During summer 2011, three her greatest student and she volunteered to fly to Kaohsiung from New York so they could do a free summer camp for those children in village. Free summer camp is a great help for those children because some kids could gone wrong without either school's attention or their busy parents' care.
