Hi everyone!

I am currently studying a Master degree in Paris, France. I am an easy-going and open-minded person, and I joined this couchsurfing community because I believe that communication is the best activity for human beings. Happiness is only real when shared.

When I was 5 years old, my family moved to the U.S. for two years. At that time I don't speak english at all, but I just got along well with my classmates and made a lot of friends. I remember that I loved to walk to school by my self and sometimes walk several blocks away to discover the neighborhood on my own. I guess that's why I love hiking so much when I grew up.

During college in China, I used to walk long distance in the countryside close to the city where I studied. The scenes turned from wheat fields to forests and then to mountains. I embrace nature and enjoy watching the color and light changing rapidly during sunrise and sunset. Then I watched the film, Lord of The Rings. I knew I had go to New Zealand and see those incredible landscapes with my own eyes. And when I was 22, just graduated from university, I decide to do a gap year and to work and travel in New Zealand.

Even now when I look back, the days in New Zealand seems unrealistic. Everything was just like in my dream. I worked in a dairy farm, a holiday resort on a peninsula, and also did a volunteer work in natural forest, living in the middle of nowhere with no electricity. Along my journey, I kept meeting new people and re-meeting them somewhere else. Not only did I meet locals, but also people like me, travelers, backpackers. Each one had its own story and its own reason of coming to New Zealand. We shared our experiences and laughings. At the end of the journey, my 65 liter backpack cannot take back too many things. What can keep filling in are love and appreciation.

I hope to meet people around the world and exchange stories.
