Hi, so like everyone here i like to travel, learn languages and dream about making out with Minnie mouse.
I like philosophy, reading, good food and of course sunshine... which is why i dont want to live in the UK forever... I love nature and grew up amongst some of the world's most amazing fauna and flora.
So far there are a few ideas racing around my head which i'd like to ink down at some point and start writing.... i just need to discipline myself and focus... then one day something distinct might pop out.
Of course without meeting new people, especially foreign people with distinct ideas and different perspectives I would not be able to further my thoughts and progress as an individual. Thus it would be great to meet people here with whom I could interact and further both their and my thoughts.
turn the other cheek, unless they've already mutilated that too
well like my old friend Seneca once said many a year ago, "its rather silly to quote only, you should make philosophy your own, rather than being a bloody parrot". He was however much more subtle and elegant than I could ever aspire to be, he could well be labelled as a CC.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well id like to surf and supply surfing possibilities, by leaving the taps open and installing a wave maker.
Good so far. I'm hoping to host more now that I have my own flat...
languages, travel, philosophy, id like to write sooner or later,
im learning to cook better and soon ill try and learn some massage therapy, so i can massage my back, when its stiff.
then id like to do a qualification in plumbing, it's been my dream ever since i played mario brothers when i was little.
Music, Movies, and Books
there are several.. well ill try and sound highly sophisticated or "pedant" right, some of the books ive read are: The Iliad and The Odyssey (not Abe's you wally, Homer's (not Simpson). The Return of the Soldier by Melvyn Bragg (i believe), Wie ich Hitler Beine machte (Dieter Schenk), Das Kartengeheimnis by by by... oh Alzheimer's. I like Kommando by Deneys Reitz too, then ive read a fair share of Franz Kafka, a highly intelligent and original writer of the early 20th century Prague. Some Balzac, Duras, Colette, Stendhal... etc etc.
Films I've seen: The Pianist, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Lord of the Rings, das Boot, Auberge Espagnole, Les Poupes Russes, Anthony Zimmer, Crazy, A Series of Unfortunate Events, American Gangster (not best but latest), Hawaii- Oslo, Oliver Twist
I like Jazz, Italian and Spanish and Im an awesome singer in the shower, oh and when I get emotional or high from thoughts.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
when i was a baby i ate christmas beetles and the wings used to be stuck to my cheeks when my mum found me.
My brother and sister left me in my pram in front of an ostrich and ran away, because they were so scared, but luckily i still have both my eyes.
Oh Ive done ice dipping in Russia.
I've walked on part of the Great Wall, got kicked out by Minne Mouse, ate scorpions and locusts and was touched up by a female security member of staff at Beijing Airport.
