About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To master star jumps & take the world by storm

ABOUT ME

Hmmmmmm...

I can survive on just Vimto and Skittles for days.

I'm a big animal lover, but don't see the need in dressing them up in ridiculous outfits - it scares & confuses me.

I can cook a little; better than a student, but not as well as my mum (she's good).

I'm a ball of energy & love doing challenging things. Almost completed the national '3 Peaks Challenge' last year, but due to injury, had to limp out.

Love going to see my family in Cornwall/Plymouth - gives me a chance to check out some of the best beaches in the UK, & I get to annoy my relatives.

PHILOSOPHY

Je ne regrette rien!

I don't know where i'm going, but i'll know when i'm there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As i'm going travelling quite soon, am rarely in my flat, so hosting would be a 'no' for now. Hopefully when I get back from my travels and find a place to live, I can host! Wouldn't mind hanging out if you want a tour guide and drinking buddy though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at present. Newbie!

Interests

I love the outdoors, especially camping when it's raining, and the rain hits the outside of the tent. Re-lax-ing!

I go through books almost as fast as 'Jonny5'. Just reading 'Post Office' by Charles Bukowski right now.

I bloody love travelling!

If i'm not reading (or out with my mates), i'm listening to my music... whether it's rock, Jazz, R&B, Northern Soul, or good old Indie/Britpop, is dependant on my mood.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films, specifically horror/zombie orientated ones, are a passion. I also love chilling out & watching proper old/vintage British tv shows - Dad's Army, One Foot In The Grave, Keeping Up Appearances, Poirot, Only Fools & Horses, etc, etc. I also try to catch documentaries if I can; Louis Theroux and Brian Cox being my ''go-to'' guys for such things.

Music-wise, i'll listen to most things.

Love my old school Manchester bands/artists though - Stone Roses, Badly Drawn Boy, Oasis, Doves, 10CC, Elbow.

However, have been listening to The Tallest Man On Earth, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Smith & Burrows, Justice, Radiohead, Timi Yuro, and Etta James a lot recently.

Books - My all time favourite book is 'The Count of Monte Christo' by Alexander Dumas, followed closely by 'World War Z' from Max Brooks. 'The Diary of Anne Frank' and 'The Hungry Caterpillar' are close on their heels though.

I also love anything by Patricia Cornwell, Douglas Coupland,& Charles Bukowski.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending 3 days camping in the desert in Joshua Tree, watching bands play on 2 small stages to a crowd of about 150-200 people, & chatting with such a mix of people that it almost made my head explode. Was also able to see the stars properly without smog or man made light ruining the view.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know much, but i'll tell you what I know.
Feel free to leech whatever knowledge you like as long as you're not expecting any wisdom, or enlightenment, on the subject of maths. I am a self proclaimed 'maths cabbage'. Other than that, leech away!
