About Me

See the world, meet good people, eat and drink well, and enjoy the journey!

Hello, I'm Connor.

I'm a 25 year old SF bay area native. I am currently living in San Francisco and loving it! What an amazingly beautiful city..and I immediately fell in love with the culture.

I play bass, guitar, and some keyboard (on my loop machine) and would love to start playing some of my material in front of audiences. I played in bar bands in the past.

I love to make the world a less resource intensive place. I'm trying to see the world, meet good people, learn, teach and exchange.

In the summer of 2012, I embarked on a 2.5 month trip around the US and saw friends, made new ones, and was immersed in the US's natural beauty.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I would definitely help clean, cook, or whatever at my host's abode. I'm not just looking for a place to crash, but looking to meet good people and learn!

I am thinking about offering my couch (well loveseat) in my room. My living room (and hall closet!!) are currently occupied by roommates! We really know how to squeeze in here.

I would also love to meet up with surfers and tell them about San Francisco and exchange stories over a coffee or beer.

I'm still sort of new to this, and have yet to surf, but I have friends in SF that host and they have had some amazing guests that I have had the pleasure of meeting. I'm looking to travel the world and stay with the people that live and know their city/town rather than stay in hotel and read brochures.

Music (playing and listening), cooking (making and eating), learning (so much out there!), walking/hiking/biking, inspecting things and learning how things work, crazy intense or nice weather.

Music, Movies & Books

I love many, but if I had to pick one author it'd be Vonnegut and if I had to pick one director it'd be Wes Anderson.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Summer 2012 I converted a family mini-van into a cross-country camper and took a 2.5 month trip around the US and Canada. We saw some amazing sights, met some amazing people, and had the trip of a lifetime. Can't wait to travel again...maybe next time by bike. Highlights: - Getting lost in the Southern Utah Desert - Electric Forest music festival in MI (MINDBLOWING) - Find the ideal 'dispersed' campsite in Manistee Nat'l Forest (perfect forest / private lake MI access) - Having fun in Minneapolis, Vancouver, and Portland - 15 mi day hike in Olympia National Park

I also attended Burning Man for the first time August 2013. It was one of the most fun and inspiring things I have ever done. I was blown away by the creativity, the do anything you want attitude, the gift economy and the human spirit that was thriving there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some basic guitar and bass techniques. Also generally handy with bikes and household tools / projects.

I would not mind at all cleaning my host's place and keeping all of my things out of the way.
