ABOUT ME

Grew up in a town on the Texas-Mexico border. Most of my traveling has been in North America (US, Mexico and Canada) and Europe (10 countries). For many years, made my living as a teacher in Deaf Education and Alternative Ed. Currently trying out different jobs to figure out a new career that combines my love of food and gardening. Planning to move back to Portland, Oregon soon.

Interests

Gardening, cooking with friends, Farmers Markets, live music, hiking, reading, meeting people from different cultures, trying to piece together a conversation with bits and pieces of different languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent one afternoon hanging out and hiking along the cliffs in Land's End, England. Looking out onto the Atlantic and imagining my home, my family and friends on the other side of that vast ocean.
