ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old male who has spent too much time in south eastern Ontario. I am looking to go out and see as much of the world as I can, but since I'm not particularly wealthy, I see couch surfing as a great opportunity to save some money while meeting new people! I am an outgoing and fun individual, who loves to talk, and I've been told I'm a great listener too! I have a passion for music and film, and while I feel like I know a good deal on both topics, I would not consider myself to be a film or music snob. I'm very open to other people's opinions and interpretations of not only music and film, but life itself!

PHILOSOPHY

I think you should go out and have fun. Do whatever makes you feel passionate. As long as you're not making anyone else's life more difficult in the process. I guess you could call me a libertarian, though I'm not exactly comfortable with political titles.

I haven't had any experience yet as either a visitor or a host, though I hope I can include some great experiences soon!

Interests

As I mentioned earlier, I am very into music and film, though my tastes in both are fairly broad, so chances are if you like either of those two things, we'll be able to find some common ground somewhere. I also love attending concerts, whether they be a sold out show in a stadium, or at a dive bar with only two other audience members. If the music's good, then I'm there! I also enjoy reading, though I ust admit I haven't been doing too much of that lately. My favourite author though is Douglas Adams. He's the only author I've come across who can consistently make me laugh out loud while reading. I also love just having a drink or two and chatting about whatever. The alcohol isn't a necessity however. If the conversation is good, then I'm glad to participate.

Music, Movies, and Books

Again, my tase in music is quite broad, so I'll try and throw a few genres out there to give you an idea

Classic Rock
Hip Hop (I'd rather concious stuff, but I still like some gangta rap here and there)
Punk Rock
Synthpop (I LOVE 80's music!)
Heavy Metal (I was a staunch metalhead in my teenage years, though I don't listen to it as much anymore)

As for movies, my taste is pretty broad, but a few fave's are: Pulp Fiction, Memento, Mulholland Drive, Dumb & Dumber, The Big Lebowski, Wet Hot American Summer (this list could go for days, so I'll stop here)
