Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am spending my summer of 2015 biking and hiking in southern Germany, mainly in Baden. I have just founded my own tour company and am completing a masters degree in ecotourism. I plan on utilizing this experience to do some writing and make connections for future travel opportunities. I am seeking local connections throughout the region, so couch surfing provides an ideal way to do this.

Interests

I love being outside. I spend much of my winter time skiing at America's best ski area near Salt Lake City. In summer hiking, biking, and backpacking in the wilderness consume much of my time. I also do volunteer trail work most summers on the Continental Divide Trail - although I have missed out on the past two because of school and work obligations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once got a car stuck in the mud in the Dolores River Canyon in Colorado and had to hike 16mi to the nearest highway.
