About Me

Well I was born in a hospital a few years ago, and grew up in Tampa Florida. I started backpacking when I was 15, and recently started freight train hopping to get around, if you can believe that. Came back to my home town and became a dad. I have a strong love of cosplaying and medieval everything. All I want from life is to own a home somewhere away from any big city and to be a great dad to my beautiful daughter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To shorten a really long story, I want to leave Tampa to find a job some place where I can raise my daughter right. Somewhere I wont be afraid when she stays gone past curfew, and can get in touch with nature.

Well being a bum for a big portion of my life led me to find many hobbies to make money or entertain myself. I love cosplay, and building props from video games, anything to do with the great outdoors or animals, and the oxford comma. Rock climbing, dancing, drawing, and music. I play a lot of instruments but the banjo is my favorite. I sing too, even though I was told to stop.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love alternative folk the most and weird indie music a close second. Youtube search for Keaton Henson if you want to judge me. I listen to a lot of 80's rock and old country too and pretty much everything but gangster rap. I love No Country for Old Men and movies that involve dialogue. I don't really know any good books so I wont even pretend there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Train hopping as I typed earlier. My first time was after a day and a half of no sleep, catching out on an oiler, riding suicide which is standing up holding on for dear life the whole time, at 3 am in the rain from Alabama. I also remember laying on the top of a grainer, going 60mph through some woods at night and watching shooting stars breaking the stillness of more stars in the night sky than I ever thought was possible. Glad I stuck with it. Oh and by the way, I was showed how to do this safely by an ex worker of CSX transportaion. It's really dangerous so don't do it!

Teach, Learn, Share

Yeah that,
well I don't think myself to be some all knowing sage that my friends pin me as, and I suck at teaching but I think life doesn't have a definite meaning. I think that it's value is given to it by the individual. That the meaning of life is the lump sum of every little moment you've experienced. That a man stays humble and does whats right no matter what it cost him.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share music with people because a good song can cross all barriers. After years on the road, I have seen stuff that you wont even believe, and a good time was had by all.
