ABOUT ME

I am a full time student at UCSD, with intentions of applying to Physician Assistants School. It’s not that I don’t want to be a Doctor I just feel that Is way too long to be in school and I have so many other things on my do list before I settle down. Before I went to school I did Search and Rescue stuff for the military. Though I hated the military aspect of my work I truly came to love my job and that was training and sometimes executing some that training to put it all on the line to save another life. It occurred to me that I could continue to improve the lives of others on a daily basis if I got out of the military and become a Physician Assistant. I’m one year away from getting my Bachelors and hopefully not too much further from getting into Grad. School.
I love to travel, whether it be a weekend camping trip or visit a foreign country. My favorite party about traveling isn’t always necessarily seeing the sites but meeting the people. Actually I think I like both equally. A good day of traveling for me is seeing the sites during the day and then drinking with locals at night. I think I’ve learned more about a culture by kicking it with the locals at a tavern then taking a tour. What I really enjoy about traveling though is making connection with complete strangers.
I like food, alcohol, and good company. If the company is good then the food and alcohol part doesn’t even really matter.

PHILOSOPHY

Our time on this earth is very short, I need experience all that life has to offer. I want to see as much of the world and harbor as many meaningful relationships as possible because I think those things are a million more time important than money or status.

Love all kinds of music, just depends on the setting and the mood.
Movies: anything with will farrell, 300, transformers, 5th element,black hawk down.
Books: Physicians guide to wilderness medicine(Macguyver first aid), Lone survivor, and some other stuff that I can't think of, I read so many science textbooks right now, that any free time I get is spent outdoors or with friends.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I spent 40 day in Bandi Ache, Indonesia feeding and medivacing the sick and injured after the 2004 tsunami that killed over 250,000 people.
Rescued 11 people from their rooftops after Hurricane Katrina devestated New Orleans.
Went hiking through the Tetons in Jackson, WY and came face to face with a black bear. The bear was actually really cool about the whole in encounter, just kinda look at each other and then went are seperate ways.
