ABOUT ME

facts:

I'm starting my master in Illustration @ Arts Decoratifs de Strasbourg.
I was born in Algeria and grew up there. I still go back once or twice a year.
I make comics and photos. sometimes film photos, sometimes phone photos. and then I make books. sometimes I mix everything.
I worked in a theater in New-York for 3 months when I was 18
I worked on a film set for a few weeks in Algeria
i named my bike mike

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted for a time but I don't have a living room anymore, we turned it into another room/studio for work and music... sorrrry...
But i'll be happy to take a little piece of your couch for a few nights (and people say i'm a good cook)

fav tv show ever : The Wire and Twin Peaks
wide range of movies... lynch, cronenberg, harmony korine, oh man i really like star wars too, the photography in paris,texas is good, and writing this list makes me nervous because i can't remember what i like and the last movie i saw was a movie where snoop dogg and dr. dre work in a car wash and yes i liked it.

music : sometimes folk (neil young, nick drake, elliott smith (can we tag this as folk ??), sometimes hardcore 90s techno, like gabber stuff, and then i switch to sweet hip-hop/r'n'b/rap when it's time to. I still have my craig david cassettes, i listen to 2pac and b.i.g at the same time and like a lot of people my age i really like frank ocean and kendrick lamar.

books, books, yeah i read some. not some really funky stuff, right now i'm reading something about homicides in baltimore city, and an art monography on henry darger, and something that woody allen wrote, and two or three paul auster books but they are all mixed in my head.
also i make comics, so i like reading comics, but my favorites are always changing, no need to put them in here,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

at the top of the Peak, in Hong Kong, i went through a cloud

well, going through a cloud : you are all alone in a big white space, the same thing that they show you in the movies when you are dead
it was really disturbing
