I grew up in Michigan but spent a couple of years living in the Middle East (Israel, Palestine and Syria.) working and studying. I like to read, travel, explore, learn new languages, play sports. I like history and wikipedia. I am a graduate student at Georgetown (Washington D.C.) in Arab Studies. Other hobbies include basketball, bridge, ultimate frisbee, running, stand-up comedy, dancing, drinking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
shiite muslims doing ashura, chasidic jews at mount meron on tisha b'av, getting shot at by israeli soldiers protesting the separation wall/fence, meeting islamic jihad, hamas and hezbollah guys in the west bank and lebanon, studying in an ultra-orthdox jewish seminary, having my first successful conversation in turkish, driving from California to Michigan in 2 days, learning how to swallow a pill !!!
