I was, until July, doing the working-for-the-man-and-starting-my-career thing. However, my dad passed last July, so I took the money he left me and started darting around the country visiting the people I haven't seen in a long time. That's literally all I am doing...at the moment. In September, I am drastically changing my environment, and moving from the 'deep south' to Minnesota to attend the McNally Smith College of Music. I am ridiculously easy to get along with, I have an easy time making me people laugh or, at least, smile, I keep myself entertained quite easily, and love to constantly be doing, well...anything. I can kill an entire day in a place Ive never been and know nothing about by finding a gorgeous place and reading a book. Books and music pretty much own my soul :)
I used to always say "You get exactly zero percent of what you don't try for" and my friends argued with me all the time about logistics. Point is: If you don't try, you automatically fail in my book. Try [for] everything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been on CS for a while, but only because I knew I'd be traveling like this at some point.I havent utilized the site yet. I am actually lucky enough to know good friends in every place I have traveled to.
I have stayed on a LOT of couches, and, if I do say so myself, am a pretty damn good house guest. The way I look at it, if you have the tiniest amount of common sense and courtesy, its hard to be a pest. To me, it is easy to stay out of the way, follow the rules, and not ask for favors. That may not be the most elegant wording, but it pretty much sums up what, to me, are the more important aspects of sharing a home. IDK...ask me whatever else...im tired :)
Traveling, duh. Music. Books. Redundancy... Longboarding (both on the water and the concrete). Trying anything and everything that I can. Et cetera...
Music, Movies, and Books
All. Seriously, people always say "all kinds" when you ask them about music, but for me, it is pretty much true. I have been a studio musician and know that, even if I don't like it, I might be able to learn from it. I, therefore, listen to EVERYTHING. Also, I will read any book you put in front of me, so long as it was not written by James Mischner. Sorry James, I tried.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know...I've caught my own dinner. Thats the first thing that popped into my head.
