I spent a significant portion of my adult life in Germany, first doing my Masters, and then recently completing a PhD. Can't say I'm entirely satisfied with it, but well, I guess it could be worse.

As a result of being in Europe, I've had the opportunity to travel around a bit, but way too little. I love travelling, actually, but as often happens, life gets in the way. :D

I'd like to think that I'm a reasonably funny guy, but humor being what it is, YMMV.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interested to see how this place works, how the dynamics play out. Also, being able to meet people outside of my circle of friends in Bonn (which has measure zero, unfortunately) would be great.

Hosting a stranger in your home is something intrinsically foreign to most people, I think. Hence this being such a novel experience, I thought it would be a good way to step outside of my comfort zone.

Interests

Being a physicist, I am mostly interested in work. :D

But when I am bored, or on my way home in the subway, or on the loo, I like to read.

Also, I do sports. Like everyday, because that is just part of my routine, like eating lunch or brushing my teeth.

Well, my special set of skills are probably not that interesting outside a small circle of people who thinks supersymmetry is a great tool or thinks about how to shift integration contours, but I can offer nice company.

Also lots of dirty jokes, once I get myself sufficiently drunk.
