Overview
About Me
I live 10 miles outside Berea, KY in the Clear Creek valley. My partner April and I organize, host, and teach Natural Building Workshops under our name The Year of Mud, including timber framing, straw bale building, and cob. We are blessed to live on a beautiful piece of land with abundant water and sunshine. My pursuits include building, woodworking, Windsor chairmaking, gardening, cooking, cheesemaking, pizza baking... and other stuff. I love learning new skills. Food is a big deal for me. The end.
Interests
Natural building, gardening, raising chickens and ducks, food and cooking, woodworking, chairmaking, carving, reading about how screwed civilization is, photography, writing, soaking up as much as I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Building our timber frame house, and watching the huge beams rise into place... worth it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A comfortable space to spend the night, and a glimpse at our evolving homestead in the Appalachian foothills.
