About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go to university. To meet all kinds of interesting people.

ABOUT ME

My goals:

- to go to university so that I can, at least try, quenching my endless thirst for knowledge. Gender Studies is something I’d like to look further into, maybe Philosophy, English, Swedish, Rhethorics, Pedagogy, maybe becoming a scholar of some sort, or a teacher. A writer for a newspaper’s culture pages, perhaps. A debater, a lecturer, there are endless possibilities in this world!

- to become a politician or doing something that really matters, something that actually helps our world and doesn't destroy it - most people aren't concerned about anything not concerning them, or their consumistic, destructive and very comfortable lifestyles. Just because something bad isn’t happening to you, doesn’t mean that it isn’t existing. 850+ million people in the world are starving, rainforests are being devastated, a global environmental crisis is omnipresent, without the large countries caring one bit – let’s turn this situation around, let’s start caring, let’s start loving, and let’s grow some empathy.

- to start a band, getting involved with serious musicianship and maybe using some time of my perhaps 60-80 years left in life for playing and writing music.

- to take drama lessons, and to get involved more in role-playing, it seems like an incredibly interesting game to play. Being more theatrical, using your whole body language and becoming comfortable with being in the limelight is something essential for practically anyone!

- to see a new day rise, I think it's beautiful how every new day has new things to give, a new person to become friends with and something new to explore.

- to meet wonderful people of all kinds and of all opinions, beliefs, sexual orientations; there is no feeling like the one of having met a new friend, or that of having really UNDERSTOOD someone’s thinking.

- to help people, that's really something that gives me a kick, that's why I want to have a job where I can guide people through their lives, something that never would tire me. It’s very, very easy to become lost on life’s ever-winding road, and since I, by sheer luck, have found the way out of inhibiting gender roles and other restrictive norms and ideals, I’d like to see to that other people find freedom and happiness.

- to enjoy life at it's fullest before I die; I really want to explore the world, its inhabitants; broaden my views, and overcome my fears. Going to, maybe Africa for a couple of years, being a volunteer English teacher would be rather spectacular!

I am;

- filled with hope; hope for humanity and for our planet and its inhabitant’s wellbeing. I hate the mentality of only caring about yourself.

- a diligent book reader, preferably a book which I will gain some new knowledge from, or that really shakes my world and gives me new ideas and views of life. I’m quite an opponent of literature, music or film that is only for entertaining people. Sure, it has its worth, but all the time? C’mon!

- a fighter to confront injustices. And you should be one too!

- constantly singing. I’m singing anywhere I go, as long as my voice isn’t ****** up by some cold. Most sung song must be “Life on Mars” by David Bowie, or perhaps any Disney song.

- very calm. Especially the last six months, I’ve become quite in balance, and I don’t have to constantly hog the limelight to feel happiness. My focus has gone from the superficial to the introvert, which is good. Strength is best gained from the inside, and not from external factors. This doesn’t mean that I can’t be wild and crazy, but most of the time I just prefer being calm and observing. Maybe I’m even too introvert, and should be trying to find some balance between intro- and extroversy, but – as always – you can’t really tell unless looking back on your life.

- an atheist, and please, if you are devoted to a religion, discuss WHY with me, I'm interested in knowing how you think! The reason I call myself an atheist is because that’s simply the most logical thing. With there being endless religions, each with different sub-religions, with each of them claiming that THEY are right, that THEIR god is the true god, the thought of there being nothing seems the most reasonable. It does, however, not exclude me from being spiritual, or very curious about religion. I believe in ghosts, and I definitely do not leave out the possibility for reincarnation.

- an enormous Bowie fan, his 1969-1980 period really holds some of the greatest albums ever. If you’re looking for a chameleon that constantly changes its colours into new ones; every time even more sparkling than before, he’s the one for you. Every album he does is an adventure, and journeying through his discography is simply a mind- and eye-opening experience!

- intergender. I don’t feel that I am belong to either XX-chromosomes or XY-chromosomes (girls or boys), I just feel that I want to define myself after what I want to be, instead of adapting myself to a pre-made gender role that excludes the opposite one. Why should we always put things in dichotomies, where you either have to be one thing, or the other? Hetero- or homosexual? Girl or a boy? Why shouldn’t girls be able to be loud, promiscuous or “masculine” in their appearance? We’re being brain-washed with THE CONCEPT of “the heterosexual Man” and “the heterosexual Woman”, and we know nothing else. Let’s step outside of our narrow minds, shall we, and see that it’s all cultural?

- bisexual, or, if to use a better word – omnisexual, meaning that I don't see gender as a limit for love. You fall in love with the person, not their dicks or pussies, right? At least I do, and I think that it’s absolutely horrendous that everyone is expected to turn out heterosexual. Why can’t it be just as natural to fall in love with your own gender, or HAVE SEX with your own gender? We’re constantly inhibiting ourselves…

- an incurable optimist! I always, always, ALWAYS believe that the things I do will turn out great, and I set my mind on success. That’s the only way – if you’re thinking that everything will turn out nasty and that you’ll fail, of course it will come true! Psychological conservatists as we are, we are always looking for confirmation of our thoughts. You’re thinking that you’ll fail, and when you've just failed because of your mind-set, you can just say “see, I was right! I’m a loser!”. It’s all a big Catch 22.

- I’m quite moody, and I can switch moods quite fast, although I’ve lately grown far more balanced. We must, must, MUST allow ourselves to be sad and angry as well – we far too often exclude those feelings from our emotional vocabulary, which creates imbalance. Feel everything you feel to the fullest, don’t hide your emotions, it’ll only create imbalance inside of you; bottling up anxiety, which will backfire sooner or later!

- a very nerdy individual with lineage since the Nintendo 8-bits era. See the video/PC game section!

- very feministic and want to eliminate inherited gender roles. As I said before, I’m planning on doing a course in Gender Studies, and I actually do think that our gender roles are the most inhibiting things in our world. Depending on what you’ve got between your legs when you’re born, your whole life is already predestined. If you’re a boy – become what you want (except if it’s a low-status feminine job, like a nurse or day-care teacher) and do whatever you want to. If you’re a girl, on the other hand, you’ll face a lot of struggles just because the fact that you’re a girl. You’re far more likely to be beaten in a relationship, verrry much more likely to get raped, and don’t expect success in male-dominated professions like being a politician, or anything creddy.

- in love with Japan’s world of manga and animé. It’s an interesting cultural phenomenon far from most Western stereotypes.

PHILOSOPHY

Politics:

In politics I am very left-wing, I think the bourgeoisie thinking is very non-appealing, since it mainly focuses on economical factors; of our only worth being good workers for the state, where money is the only thing that matters. The thing that pisses me off the most is when right-wing politics are giving all the money to the already-rich, while those without the luck of being born in a wealthy family have to live very Spartan-like. We have to have a policy where it’s us humans as cultural beings with the potential to blossom as individuals that is in focus; not our potential to work our asses of for the ever-volatile happiness that money is said to create. Therefore our class should not matter, and our welfare system should provide the basics for everyone, no matter of sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or our position at the societal hierarchy. Looking at our big brother in the West; USA, I see very unjust policies. In Sweden we often believe that the US is a very wealthy country, but how wealthy is a country when you can’t even provide basic health care for every citizen? In Sweden that is a basic right, even though you often might have to wait for treatment. Another thing I find strange is that you have to be wealthy to even get to study at a university; if you’re not rich you probably won’t get a good job which will give you good money, since you’re not wealthy enough to even study. Really Catch 22, again. In Sweden you just have to provide money for books, and probably for a tiny student apartment as well.

I’m very glad Barack Obama won the election. Now I can wake up each morning and think that: from next year, we will have four years of prosperity and democracy!

Morals:

I believe in vegetarianism, since I believe in every living being’s right to live, and every living being’s ability to FEEL PAIN. Where is the humanity in killing BILLIONS of animals every year, when we don’t even NEED animal food for our survival, or well-being? It’s actually even proven that a wholly vegetarian diet is the best – animal fat and protein isn’t as good as the vegetarian fats and proteins. And if you’re worrying about Omega 3/6 or the vitamin B12 you can get it from other food, being added to other food, or simply taking a vitamin pill.

The rainforest is being devastated to make room for cattle ranches. The rainforest is being devastated to make room for fields, where they grow food FOR THE ANIMALS. So, instead of using the plants for eating, we use them to feed the animals, which we thereafter eat. Why not skip that step, and just eat the plants? It’s ten times more energy- and food-efficient to grow plants, than to breed animals, which would feed FAR MANY MORE MOUTHS! The meat industry is also responsible for 18% of all CO2 pollution, and then all CO2 that is created while devastating the rainforest isn’t even included, but it’s estimated for another 30%!

So, actually, by becoming a vegetarian, or just not eating AS MUCH meat, you could do the single most effective thing you as a regular citizen can do to stop global warming!

I love:

- my friends, the few I have, I'm very picky! It’s very few people I feel that… resemblance to, since I’m quite outside of pretty much any norm, but when I find those people – oh the joy!
- people who dare to stand for their opinions, who care to engage in things! It’s always much easier to just follow the stream, doing everything as it’s always been done and don’t question anything, but it’s definitely nothing that ever has promoted societal progression of any kind.
- to play psychologist, if you've got problems, contact me immediately! I’m quite good at spotting why people behave as they do, why they think as they think, and so on. Give it a try!
- to discuss things, it's wonderful. I’d actually prefer a good discussion over having sex; sex is only temporary, but thoughts life forever.

I hate:

- male chauvinists who treat females as inferiors; give me a world full of hope and understanding, not of hate and looking down on other people!
- liquorice, it’s terrible.
- besserwissers, who think they know things they REALLY don't. Generally there’s a great aura of besserwissness where people are making statements about EVERYTHING, no matter how little knowledge in the specific topic they’ve got! If I have nothing to say, I rather shut up, actually.
- old men who think they can have sex with me, it's disgusting!
- the cigarette industry, war industry, drug industry, and a lot of other industries profiting on hurting other people. The funny thing is that if we used all the money put into the war industry every year, no one in the world would have to starve. Enough money to feed 850 million people. Isn’t it strange, how we prioritize?
