About Me

Hi,
I'm an intrepid wanderer who has never thought to use people's couches. I prefer remote places that give space, fresh air, quiet, and privacy. I would like to visit specific cities though to do some journalism work and CouchSurfing has exactly the interface and philosophy that I feel will help with my work.
I have been fortunate to have done some traveling abroad and I dream of continuing my work abroad, to be paid to travel and publish, what a life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live in a very popular place in a very popular part of the city. Why not help others visit my fine city while others help me visit their fine city?

Specifically though, I write about Generation X culture and I firmly believe that couchsurfing is a phenomenon that is primary of the younger generation. The culture of using social networking and the internet to meet people, become acquainted with them to an extent that you would open your home to them is extremely new, and it is the younger generation that is most comfortable.

Interests

I'm an avid reader and photographer. I do not watch TV or take part in leisure sports. I enjoy cooking, hiking, biking, traveling close and afar, and I'm an activist for the medicinal use of cannabis.
I enjoy live music and prefer many genres. I also do videography work an am endeavoring on my first documentary short about culture and cannabis.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once visited the forbidden city in China and had what I would describe as a very odd, previous life experience or an uncanny familiarity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a spiritual person who practices a "tread lightly and be kind" philosophy in life. I have been very fortunate in where I've come from and what I've been given and I try to be helpful or courteous or selfless when the opportunity is given.
I think I could share the "creative lifestyle" where inspiration and flow living is paramount to happiness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a very unique background and skill set. I was a career guy before I jumped ship for more creative endeavors. I've lived with a very rare health condition that offers me a unique perspective, a unique value system, and probably a unique spirituality. I am someone who enjoys seeing other people be inspired by what they do, or passionate about their creative work.
