ABOUT ME

Who am I ? It took me a lot of travelling and soul searching to come to the conclusion of this question: Well, my name is Ruth Zoe and I am whole, loving, harmonious , happy, and joyful :-) Yes ; I am a natural optimist with an almost utopic can do attitude.I spend my time training to become a drama and English teacher but deep down inside of me I want to start a revolution with the objective to reeducate us about our true power and true nature. Otherwise how can we be the best we can be, if we lack the tools to look within, or the safe creative environmental to imagine an alternative? That#s really at the core of my being: creativity ! I like being creative through dance, performing arts or enjoy going to underground live music events to enjoy other peoples creativity. I am natural free spirit and really need good vibes around me. I do get on with a lot of people as I have a natural interest in others but I am allergic against superficial and ignorant people. I have come to realize that the wisest thing I have ever said will be :" I dont know" and that's when I grew the most...So all the know-it-all's, please stay away.
I have reached a point in my life were I finally have enough time in my life for the things that really matter: For me these things are excersize , my own sense of spirituality, joy and laughter and first and foremost uplifting our global community. These things can be done in a variety of ways and so my life evolves around these things in a variety of ways.

Life can really be simple!
My personal philosophy is like attracts like and as you give you shall receive
e.g give love FIRST to receive love if that makes sense.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Great; what can I do? Well to be honest, i would like to be just another friend or distant family member abroad or in another city. I have been living in London for 4 years now and finally found a place I call home and I would like to share that happiness with the whole world... Its been a tough but insightful ride into a new culture and you have probably experienced the same in different ways: So this is my gift to teh universe for my little Mekka in London hahahahah!!! You are welcome to crash on my couch, give me a shout if wanna hang out or need someone to go to an event with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well; I have just returned form couch surfing in Hamburg and I also couch surfed in Jamaica. In both cases I can say that the hospitality and warmth was overwhelming- what a nice thing to experience.I remember thinking that the word "Thank you" seemed too limiting to describe my gratitude.Even though both experiences were very different: Hamburg being ma home town aand Jamaica on a total different continent, I felt at home in both instances and felt welcomed beyond measure.

Interests

Dance, all forms of dance from African dance bollywood, I love dancing
I am a huge fan of world music, live performances and London is full of bands that play quality music
I love performing arts and going to underground theater plays- for people by people.
I am a huge fan of Augusto Boals "theater of the oppressed" and Paolo Freire theories on "pedagogy of the oppressed"
I am passionate about global justice issues

conscious hip hop e.g Nas(lootroop( sweden) dead prez (US), K-os (Canada) ma favorite band of all times is Fat Freddys Drop ( New Zealand)
I enjoy dubstep, electro, drumnbasse when going out or quality live music from all corners of the world.
I enjoy going to various world cinema festivals here in London and I love documentaries about different cultures and ways of life or watching a good comedy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. being saved by a stranger when going for a swim in the atlantic ocean.
2. Being attacked by a humongous cockroach in down town Yaounde, Cameroon that was trapped in my hair and screaming " Kakalacke, Kackalacke" ( the German word for Cockroach) and of cause no one understood me. After the mystery of my hysteria was revealed a young girl approached me and said she was scared because she thought an evil spirit had possessed me. Bless her!!!
3. While sitting in my cousins house in London, I visulised her cat sitting on my lap.Since my cousin prefers her to stay out of the living room, her cat never sat with us. However,very shortly after mycousin went to the toilet, I could see her coming for me... making herself comfortable... the power of teh mind or what hahahhaha
