ABOUT ME

Joakim Drescher (24): hi im from auckland new zealand but have spent the last five years living in denmark and china. i am currently studying fine art in amsterdam where i live and go to school at the rietveld academy studying fine arts, i am interested in books, writing, drawing and playing music.

Dennis Ter Wal (24)l: i am from the netherlands interested in art, cycling, reading and working in the garden ( i am a gardener). i currently go to school at the rietveld academy studying fine arts.

Zoe Field (21): Born in New York City, grew up in New Jersey. Currently studying abroad at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, but attends school in Brooklyn, New York for fine art. Most important to me is good people, good energy, good fun, all around good times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because non of us currently have steady living situations in Amsterdam that are capable of accommodating guests, we cannot offer at this time our own couches, but hope in the future to be able to open us this opportunity as our living situations change. For this experience with couch surfing, we are looking for people to stay with in Almeria who can open our eyes and allow us to better experience this part of the world, showing us what they know of their home and their culture that we can learn from graciously.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Non of us have experiences with couch surfing before in the past. We are traveling together and have all agreed that the experience of couch surfing will enrich our trip more than simply staying at hostels, and we want to meet people that can actually help us see Almeria from a locals perspective. Most of all we are just looking for an amazing time and hoping for the help and company of new and wonderful people.

We are really an eclectic bunch. If you let us crash on your couch, we will make it worth your time. We are really good people and are just looking to meet new people and see new places for a few days of our lives ;)

Zoe- When I return to the States and have a new apartment in New York, which will most likely be in Brooklyn, that will be open for couch surfers :)
