ABOUT ME

Hi this is Roberto, 36 years old guy from Italy, although at the moment I am living in the sunny Barcelona, after living for about 8 years in the not so sunny London. Well couch surfing… I am new to all this. Some people told me about it years ago, and then a close friend of mine became addicted and told me amazing things about it. That’s it… let’s try it out!!!

I am friendly person who loves cooking food, sit around the table with some friends, some music in the background, few bottles of wine and a good laugh.
I like cooking! That doesn’t mean I am very good at it! But definitely I like to prepare it. So at lunch and dinner time I will surely get my hands dirty in your kitchen if you allowed me.
So “Couch me and I cook you!”

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I can't couch, only surfing!!!!!
But I will definitely be available to spend time and help any Couch Surfer to have fun around Barcelona.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last year on April I went on holiday through East European Countries . Got myself into Couch experiences and it was very funny!!!!!! I met such a variety of people from different backgrounds, different ages and interests.

Interests

I like making things out of found objects. Lights and some kinds of furniture.(see some pics in my profile). At the moment I am making lamps and tables.

Love live music especially blues and jazz in one of those aged bars usually below the ground floor, old wooden furniture, smoking mist and lowdown light. Awesome!!!
And well if we have to go to dance Salsa, Rumba, House or Electronic I can keep up!

I also like climbing. I started two years ago, so I am still a beginner but very eager. I would love to go climbing a bit in each place I will visit from now on. I thought that maybe these two amazing experiences could become one; the opportunity to meet new friends round the world, discovering their places and culture and practicing a fantastic sport.

If someone is willing to teach how to jump with a parachute from an airplane I will go with you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in London, I have studied in an Art College, worked with Sculptors and Art Galleries, traveled for 4 month in South America, lived in Granada, traveled in Thailand, living in Barcelona, working with model maker and carpenter making great work, climbing,diving, rollerblading, meditation...

Teach, Learn, Share

Well at the moment I work in a Workshop with two Architects making a variety of things: Architectural Model, installations, sculptures and some prototypes for a cloth designer of a theatrical company. I used to help some sculptors with their work too when I was in London,(not classical sculptures). So I am comfortable with tools and making things. I can help you out with some DIY issues at home or some Art work!!!!

I like making thing out of found objects. Especially lamps. At the moment I am making lamps from drawers.
