I only host, when I have some time to spare. I rarely have much time to hangout. If you stay with me, be prepared to spent a some time on your own.
When I'm travelling by myself I'm mainly wandering around and discover a city. Without any tour or guide or something. I'm not having check lists for places I go but try to just do what I find on my way - and what I'm missing, I'm missing. That's okay.
Besides my work I study culture at a distance university. Sometimes I feel like a philosopher, sometimes like a scientist and sometimes like an artist. I often think about how the world works and how I want it to work. Sometimes I also take action in how I want it to work - sometimes with computers and sometimes without.
Once I was a politician.
I am gay and grew up on a farm in a small village.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm generally pretty open about myself and can imagine very few questions that I will not answer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm fascinated by different cultures and different people. Sometimes I like to travel and usually I do it by hitch-hiking and couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surviving Tokyo for 5 weeks without money.
Getting lost hitch-hiking a few times - sometimes very lonely and awful, sometimes meeting awesome people saving my day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: how to hitch-hike, how politics work and how to cook improvised food.
I studied philosophy, cognitive science, maths, computer science, culture and chemistry so far. So there are lots of scientific things I may teach you or help out with homework ;)
I want to learn: Japanese, Arabic, Mandarin, playing the guitar and singing. I really have no idea how to use my voice for singing and I feel little embarrassed about the idea me practising.
If you're Spanish or French you're very welcome and please push me to speak French/Spanish instead of English. The best thing to improve a language is speaking it constantly.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of stories and knowledge.
I usually take hosts out for a (few) drink(s) or a meal.
I'm also pretty good in fixing things - it doesn't matter if it's a bike or a computer.
