Hi there, this is Karoline ( right on picture) and Mathilde (left on picture) from Denmark.
We´re two 20-year old girls who want to meet cool people and experience the world the best way possible.
We both grew up in a little suburb close to Copenhagen (capital of Denmark). We´ve been friends since 7th grade, and growing up we lived just across the street from each other - this resulted in many evening strolls around the neighbourhood talking about everything from boys to how to best beat a hangover ( Karoline´s answer to that was, and always will be McDonalds). Now, about 6 years later, our conversations are pretty much the same, the only difference is that Mathilde now live in central Copenhagen, and Karoline is thinking about moving to Berlin for a year. None os us have started any studies yet, Mathilde finished high school in the summer of 2011 and Karoline finished in 2012. So right now we´re both spending our gap years experiencing new things and doing stuff that we enjoy.
Like many couchsurfers we love travelling and this spring we´re going to South America for 3 months. Neither of us have been there before, but we only heard great things about it!
While we definitely have participated in a fair share of parties so far in our lifetime, that is not what this trip is about for either of us. We both grew up in very active and out-doorsy families, and we would much rather meet people travelling by bus with backpacks and unwashed hair than spending our time tanning by a pool.
During our time in South America we´ll visit Argentina, Bolivia and Peru, and we hope to meet just a couple of the awesome couchsurfers thats out there :)
Feel free to send us a message, if you want to ask us any questions, or if you have tips for our travel.
have a great day!
Karoline & Mathilde xx
I´d rather have big dreams with let-downs than to never have dreamed at all.

exploring and learning
chilling in the sun
Music, Movies, and Books
We´re both Lord of the Rings movie fanatics and have seen the films at least sixty times. Our favourite is of course the two towers ( come on - Gandalf returns, there´s horses, the battle at Helms Deep. It´s awesome.)
Authors we like: Jonathan Safran Foer, J.K. Rowling, Franz Kafka, Jonathan Franzen, James Joyce, Fjodor Dostojevskij, Jacob Ejersbo, Tolkien, Jane Austen etc.
music: pretty much everything danceable with a great rhytm and a nice beat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mathilde: the great wall of China was a pretty amazing sight. But then again, it doesn´t take a lot to take my breath away. Any amazing sunset can make me smile and soothe my mind.
