To expose our tribal children and villagers to the rest of the world through the exchange of culture with outside visitors, like you.
I am an ordained Buddhist Monk and Chairman of Bahujana Hitaya Education Trust (BHET). BHET is a non-political, non-profit, public charitable organization that is involved in grass-roots development, as well as the welfare and economic upliftment of the regressive and downtrodden people of rural India.
Under BHET, I head and run a Monastic Buddhist Academy as well as an English-medium boarding school called Dhamma Dipa School (DDS). Currently, at DDS, we have a student body of nearly 450 students, 200 of which are stationed in our dormitories.
My desire is to expose our children, some of whom are too poor to even venture outside of the village, to the rest of the world. You are welcome to come and stay with us, interact with our students, our monks, even teach English, if you wish, in order to bring diversity and exposure to our children and villagers and become a friend of the school, just as H.H. Dalai Lama has done. We look forward to meeting you.
