hello, everyone! my name is tristan, I’m 26 years old, and i call waterloo, ontario, canada my home (about 45 minutes west of toronto.)

earlier this year, i decided it was time to take a step back from the corporate world and try a solo backpacking trip across europe.

through couchsurfing, i hope to not only guest, but to host fellow travellers when they visit my hometown, and help them have a richer and more comfortable experience while they’re abroad. i’ve had several fantastic stays with hosts on this app, and i’d love to be able to pay those experiences forward.

i have a deep interest and curiosity for the arts, particularly music (i play several instruments and produce electronic music, primarily ambient) world cultures, philosophy and nature.

this is my first time ever in europe, and advice on anything from the best grocery stores and hiking spots, to the worst restaurants and places to avoid is welcomed and highly appreciated.
