À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying every moment and training for my second marathon (;

ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Steffi. I'm a big dreamer and definitely clumsy. I'm adventurous and really active. I'm literally can't sit still for long. On top I'm cosmopolitan and love to make friends all over the world. Most of my friends in Berlin aren't German (;

I'm in love with travelling and nature. Just thinking about running through the forest, hikking up a mountain, exploring a new country and making new friends all over the place makes my heart beat even higher.
My favorite quote is: "You're an adventurer traveling on the highway of life." And we definitely all are. I'm always making plans where I wanna go next and love to buy travel guides to initiate or push my next trips.

One of my dreams is to travel to every country in the world !! .. or at least know one person from each country !

Top 6 things you should know about me:

1) Totally can't tell jokes.

2) I'm straight forward.

3) Have a short term memory.

4) Hate feet!

5) Want to run the New York and London marathon on day.

6) I want to get 120 years old. (;

PHILOSOPHY

"Don't look back, when the way goes on! Enjoy here and now!!"

"NEVER give up!!"

"Don't start what you can't finish!"

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm not really interested in going to the Eiffel tower and hopping on the tourist bus to see things. I'm interested in why you live there, what and where you eat for breakfast, how you spend your weekends, what you do after work, what you do for work. I enjoy experiencing life in parts of the world I didn't grow up in.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed some couches and hang out with amazing people during an unique time in America. Right now I can't host anymore because I unfortunately have any situational condition to accomodate you. So I rather meet and show people around from all around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far my first couchsurfing experiences were = amazing, awesome, unique, charming, exciting, fantastic, UNFORGETTABLE !!
Through CS I meet incredible people who totally inspired me !!
I kept in touch with some of my hosts and guest and we also visited each other again. One of my hosts actually ended up moving to Berlin, partly because of me and one guest invited me to her wedding. (:

I just love the bonds you can create through connecting and sharing.

Centres d'intérêt

I love food. It's what makes my day, everyday. I love talking about life and how I can't predict it ever, and it always turns out to be better than I expected. Some other things I really enjoy are running, stargazing (especially because you can't really see them in Berlin), yoga, dancing around like nobody's watching, working out, photography, snowboarding, motorbiking, discovering my limits and new things and especially LAUGHING !
Currently there are a couple of actives I want to learn… to sky-dive on my own, climbing and sailing.
I would love to sail down the atlantic coast on day.
I love to experience new things, especially extreme sports. Already did bungee-jumping and house-running. My favorite was sky-diving!!! Wanna definitely try out cliff-jumping soon!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I'm reading a lot and mostly in english from thrillers, women's books to historial novels. If I start a book it's hard for me to even put it aside for eating. My favorite books are "the tea rose"-triology by Jennifer Donnelly. When I read "behind closed doors" by Ba Paris it creepied me out so much that I had to finish it in one go.
And for the movies... I worked part-time in a movie theatre.. So I've definitely seen a lot of the new ones. But I just love, love the movie Burlesque. I know so giiiirlie (;
For music... spotify is my best friend in that. (: It's varies from electronic, soul, reggae, indie, punkrop, rap to brass pop.
Sometimes I just randomly make a few dance moves… even in public transportation. (;

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Stargazing after a long time again in a pitch black night in Austria and realizing how many there actually are and how small we are.
Just went to live in an other country although everybody told me not to... and NOT regretting it a little bit !!
Overcame my fear of heights through bungee-jumping, house-running and skydiving. And I'm always trying everything out I'm frightened of !! Haha (;
Roadtrip down the west coast in America.
Running my first marathon in Berlin and having such a endorphin rush in the final metres that made me cry of joy.
