Get the best out of my year in Hannover!
I'm a Hungarian girl currently living in Hannover, working as an Au-Pair. I absolutely love working with children, I love animals (I have a sweet little dog and my host family also has a sweet huuuuge dog ! haha). I've been doing different works with migrants and refugees in Hungary in the last 3 years, and since I moved to Germany I'm also trying to do so, as much as my time allows me. I have a huge passion for South Africa, like as if I have lived there in a previous life...
Well actually, you'll find out more in keywords if you look at my --> interests. ;) And even better, in person! I'm always up for a cup of tee or a walk or anything adventurous!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started using CS in 2013 and during my very first experience I met an amazing bunch of people, some of whom are still really close friends, and since then I have guided many people in Budapest and also made friends thanks to CS meetings in Germany. As I don't have my own apartment I unfortunately cannot host, but I have also had great experience by being hosted in Austria once (travelling there with a friend I also just got to know through CS earlier) and I'm keen to do it more often as I find it much lovelier to get to know the real life in a foreign country through real people rather than the touristy stuff through guiding books.
Cultures, music, politics, migration and refugee issues (attention! this topic usually comes up if you talk to me for longer haha), feminism, books, languages, religions, history (especially the cold war and communism), LGBT rights, animals, children, South Africa, playing the djembe, hiking, crocheting (I'm just a beginner - yet!), cooking & baking, cycling and and and and and...
I actually sometimes have a feeling that I'm just interested in too many things, I want to try too many hobbies, and it sometimes makes me spend too much time thinking about what I should do when I have some free time. And then I end up stressing about how many things I would like to do and I didn't have time for anything again... so my current mission could also be trying to just concentrate on one thing at once :D
Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read books, especially ones that take me to another time or another place, and that's the same with movies. In music I love reggae, dancehall, different traditional music, the 80s and so but if an artist doesn't have a message that is important to me and gives me motivation, I will probably get bored of them after a while. I'm a huge fan of Michael Jackson and Seeed!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are countless... but one of the most amazing moments in my life was when I met Frank Dellé before a Seeed concert in Berlin and he was talking to us about his coming album, etc... such an amazing person!
Teach, Learn, Share
Let's share a pot of tea!! ;)
I want to get more professional in crocheting & knitting. I love to have meaningful conversations about politics and refugee issues, and always keen to learn more in the field... but well, I'm super happy to learn anything new and talk about anything that broadens my horizont!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be super happy to cook something Indian for my hosts, and share my experiences working in different migrant-supporting groups and organisations. If you have a djembe at home I can also teach you some African rhythms! ;)
