ABOUT ME

I am a grassroots organizer working on a variety of social justice issues, mostly related to racial justice. I am LGBTQ, born in WI, like to have fun, like to get to know people, very laid back and easy going. I no longer have a beard.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it is important that we care as much as we can for one another. That we bring our full selves and live as respectfully and enjoyably as we can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have definitely couchsurfed in the past, but mostly with friends or through an organizational connection.

Interests

Music, learning new things, community organizing, dancing, seeing people live the most beautiful lives they/we can, meeting people, having fun,

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly the new divas like ledisi, marsha ambroshius, beyonce, alicia keys, mary j blige, adele, etc. Also like conscious hip hop and do a yearly radio show about up and coming women in hip hop. Also old soul music.

I have been watching more movies lately. I like a variety of documentaries, comedies, and dramas. Something beautiful, funny, and/or meaninful and transformative.

some of my favorite books are by folks like james baldwin, alice walker, toni morrison, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think some of the victories of organizing has been great. Some of the amazing ways that the word works and guides us along our path.
