About Me
Hi everyone :)
Let me introduce myself, I’m Doriane, 32. Breton 100% pure butter but with a good piece of Bordeaux canelés too, since I lived there for 10 years.
Regarding my character, I like calm and contemplation (walking alone, marveling at the beauty of nature, old buildings, reading a book with soft music in the background...); but also laughing, discovering different life paths from mine, festive universes.
Either way, I always have a positive outlook on things in the world.
Very curious at heart, I always like to learn about the world around me. Latest passion to date: the past ! the history of the cities, architecture and painting.
Otherwise, my biggest passions are : music, dancing and reading!
I was part of Ecstatic Dance in Bordeaux, workshops where you can dance completely freely, like in your room, no need for special skills ^^! So yeah, music and moving my body is veeeery important for me (I hope you like music too, cause I can't live without it haha).
As for books, I have a little collection of recipe books (although I'm not the greatest cook of the world, I love trying new recipes and please people ^^) and I read a lot on the subject of sexuality, relationships, feminism. If you have a library, I will surely snoop around to find new words to devour :D.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have already traveled solo for a month through Europe last year (Interrail). It was an amazing and so calming experience. I've caught the travel virus now ^^ ! During my trip I was sleeping in hostels. It was fun but I found it difficult to have real and deep talks with people... You see someone one night and the next day they're gone. I wish I could spend more quality time with a person, having time to create a stronger relationship and with a local person it's even better ! It's an opportunity to discover the city as if you were living there. I love this idea :).

Music : I listen to A LOT of things. Dub, world music, acid, liquid drum and bass, ambient, rnb, soul, pop, pagan...
Movies : The tree of life, Call me by your name, Arrietty, french movies, Drive my car
Books : Call me by your name (YES, again ! ^^),
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't really have an "extraordinary" adventure (I need to travel more for that haha!). But one memory that marked me from my trip in Europe was swimming in PortoVenere (Cinque Terre). I had NEVER seen such transparent water. I could see the fish swimming all around me and up 2 meters underwater. Unbelievable ! At that time I regretted not having a mask and snorkel (now I have all that hehe!!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not being alone all the time haha (eventhough I also like being independant), having someone I can have good conversations. Discovering hidden places in the city or art/cultural places.
Having fun too (it's always a good thing). Why not with a group of friends. Boardgames. A drink or 2 (but not 10, I don't like overdrinking) or going to dance.
