My name is Richard Vargas. I am from Bogota, Colombia. I consider myself a nice and fun person. I'm really honest and responsible. People can definitely trust in me. I'm a little bit shy at the beginning, but little by little I show what I really am: funny, talkative, nice, and hardwork.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new here, but I know some friends who have participated here and who have told me nice stories and anecdotes thanks to couchsurfing. They have met a lot of people and have traveled a lot.

Interests

I love playing the guitar. Well I'm not an expert, but I always try to do my best. I usually play music in Spanish. I also love languages. I speak Spanish (native), German, and a bit or Russian (I'm afraid I've forgotten a lot, but I can remember some things). I also love travelling and meeting new people from different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love independent movies. I'm not into commercial ones. I love movies that make you think or reflect about life. My favorite ones are: Das Experiment, Die Welle, Taxi driver, Snatch, El día de la Bestia, El lado oscuro del corazón, The Wrestler, etc.

As for music I love classic rock, rock in Spanish, salsa, merengue, etc.

Regarding books, well, I am not a good reader but the books that I like are The Davinci Code, Demian, and short stories by Edgar Allan Poe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish, English, and some songs in the guitar, basic songs because I'm not an expert or a pro-guitar player, but I love this instrument and always try to do my best no matter how easy or difficult a song is. I would like to practice and improve my German and learn how to cook. Well I cook, but I'm terrible in the kitchen.
