About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to discover countries through a unique native perspective

ABOUT ME

easy going - friendly - optimistic - ecofriendly - world traveler - english speaking (yes, I do want to challenge misconceptions about French people language skills ^^)

I was born and grew up in Paris - a city that I am deeply fond of - but I also have the great need to experience life outside France. This makes me really open and curious. Last year, I had the chance to spend 6 months in Sweden and I think it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in. I do want to continue exploring the world and maybe someday, I'll hopefully find the perfect place to live.

PHILOSOPHY

I need to remain upright and true to my principles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Why is couch surfing such an amazing concept ? It is a means to get an up close and personal look at different cultures, families, and households, far from the touristic routes.
In that sense, I do want to be part of this community, comprised of generous, open minded and culturally conscious individuals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been using couch surfing just a few times (I only registered last year) but now I feel I have a little more time for traveling !

Interests

languages, spirited debates, oriental danse !

Music, Movies, and Books

Books : all books from Stefan Zweig and, of course the French Civil code ^^
Music : what dazzles me : Lou Reed, Neil Young, Alt J, The Black Keys, Mathieu Chedid, Alain Bashung,
Cinema : a little-known Woody Allen movie : Don't drink the water + Coen Brothers (true grit)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2006, I was super lucky to watch the hatching of turtle eggs in India (Bay of Bengal). It only happens once a year!
And in Sweden, I chased the Aurora Borealis/northern lights in super cold Lapland. Most beautiful region I've ever seen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahamas, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Guadeloupe, India, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Sweden
