About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn new things, meet new people, discover new places.

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone!

I'm lucky enough to live in gorgeous Paris, and I love it here, but I also love leaving the city once in a while to travel!

I've mostly travelled to Europe so far : Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Croatia, Hungary... I've also been to Israel.

Now, I have the rest of the world to discover!

I've lived in London for a little while and I absolutely love this city. I go back there as often as I can. It also means my English is quite British (with a hint of French accent, of course!).

PHILOSOPHY

Try new things as often as I can. Always try and get better. Always be mindful of the moment and of your everyday environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only just heard of Couchsurfing through a friend, so I haven't tried it so far...But I soon will!

Interests

Obviously, I love travelling, meeting new people and living differently for a few days or a few weeks, before going back to my everyday Parisian life.

I also like the arts, in particular paintings and photography. I'd love to understand contemporary art, but I'm afraid it's quite opaque to me, so I'm more into "classical" art. Maybe one day I'll have a breakthrough?

I also love food! Which means that I always try the local food when I travel :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot of books, non fiction more than novels. I still have a few favourites: Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter books (because I grew up with them. I also love Baudelaire (a French poet from the 19th century).

As for non fiction, I read a lot of history books (I'm a history and geography teacher!): I'm particularly interested in medieval history and global history.

I also read a lot of books about history of art.

I don't have a great cinematographic or musical knowledge, but I try to improve!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When you're travelling, even the most common activities suddenly seem amazing, right?

If I have to pick one memory in particular, let it be my travel accross Central and Eastern Europe in train: we travelled at some point from Berlin to Copenhagen. My friend and I had been travelling overnight to save on hostels, and when we woke up, we were alone in the train, which was in a dark, closed space. We started freaking out before realising the train was actually inside a ferry which was crossing the sea between Germany and some Danish islands! I had no idea you could put a train inside a ferry o_0
