ABOUT ME

I'm currently travelling through America over a period of about 4months in my colourful van that I brought in LA. My plans are vague and generally made on the fly though I've been focusing on surfing, snowboarding and hiking.

I've really enjoyed America so far and it continues to amaze me. I've found the people amazing, it's environments rugged and I think I might find it hard to leave.

I surf, mountain bike, snowboard and enjoy most outdoor activities. I try to practice yoga frequently and I'm always keen to practice with new people/studios. I enjoy food, especially healthy eating and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle...though I'm a sucker for a few beers!

I studied environmental management and after working for four years decided it was time to hit the road. So I've been on the road since April 2014 doing a few months work in Indonesia before heading to America.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I don't have a base so I'm solely looking to surf your couch, though I enjoy meeting new people so will definitely look to return the favor as a host when I settle down.

Interests

Random adventures and getting lost in unknown places. When travelling I like to see where the locals hangout and get outside the tourist trap.

I love reading, my favorite authors to date would be Bryce Courtney and Ken Follet though I'm a sucker for a good action novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling through rural Indonesia is always amazing...a few of my favourite Indonesian memories including:
-spending 15 nights on a remote island surfing awesome waves and feasting on coconuts
-climbing ana krakatou a month after a major eruption

I love spending my time outdoors no matter the activity. I'd love to learn of your local area by exploring it's hills, pubs, beaches, cafes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to teach you to surf if weather permits. I have a big board in the car good for beginners.
