Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing to meet closley with other like minded people and their cultures. Of course when travelling I have an interest in historic sites, mueseums, galleries and all the things that belong only to the part of the world that I am visiting. However, I feel that until I have meet people who actually live in the place I am living, and have been introduced to their way of life, then I have only seen half the city. Our cities would be empty without the people who fill them!

Also, to be honest with you, I am a student trying to see the world during the middle of my studies. I don't have all the money to spend on hotels and guided tours. So rather than stay at home, this is how I choose to travel.

Interests

My interests are literature, film and music. With all of these there is an impossible amount to digest. We will never read, watch or hear it all! That's why I love to follow recommendations.
Travel is another interest, and I live it by the same Philosophy. I would much sooner take a friends recommendation over a guide book.
