ABOUT ME
How would I describe myself in a few words?
Passionate. Enthusiastic. Funny. Fluffy. A little bit twisted. Positive. Eager to learn. Open-minded. A Disney-princess. Kinda nerdy. Friendly. Sarcastic. Relaxed, often to the point of, well, lazy. Always looking for an excuse to get out of the country.
PHILOSOPHY
"If being crazy means
living life as if it matters,
then I don't mind
being completely insane."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, it's rather hard for me to open up my house, because a friend of mine had temporarily moved in with me... I can definitely hang out, though, and take you around!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since I'm a complete newbie here, I don't have any 'Couchsurfing'-experience. But I do have some experience with foreign friends crashing at my place, and the other way around.
Interests
Nature. (making long walks, or just sitting and staring, love it both)
History. (in any form!!)
The act of travelling itself. (sitting on a train or a plane for hours)
Baking. (cookies, pies, brownies, I can make it happen!)
Writing letters and postcards. (the good old-fashioned way)
Music. (used to be a dancer, now it's mostly listening or going to concerts)
Shopping. (Am I a woman, or not?)
Animals.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies:
Slightly addicted to Disney, and Marvel (and other Sci-Fi, superhero stuff, for that matter).
TV series:
I do love my weekly portion of series: Castle, Elementary, The Mentalist, Big Bang Theory, Miranda, That '70s Show, Will&Grace, Borgias, Game of Thrones, Arrow, ...
Books:
- Fantasy
- Classics
- History novels
Music:
Anything, seriously anything. From Michael Jackson, over U2 and Foo Fighters, to Editors or Imagine Dragons, to Adele, to Lady Gaga and Shakira all the way up to K-Pop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Can't choose between paragliding in Austria, watching a the sunrise over the Nile in Egypt, or living on my own in Vietnam for 4 months...
Teach, Learn, Share
As a Belgian, I can share how it feels like to live in a split-up country with 3 official languages and 3 governments, where even native people have to speak English to be able to communicate with people from the other side of the country...
I can show you how easy it is to go from one country to another in Europe. (France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK are only a few hours away.)
With my History studies as background, I can guide you around the most beautiful places of my country.
I can teach you the difference between Belgian chocolate and, well, not Belgian chocolate ;)
I'm afraid I don't have much 'survival skills', but luckily, that's something you don't really need in Belgium.
