COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only just joined Couchsurfing, and I've met one new person so far: an old guy from Alice Springs who took my friend & I for a drive out to the river during a rare rainstorm. Splashing through swollen creeks in a 4WD was fun!

favourite authors: Philip K Dick, Roger Zelazny, Samuel R Delany, Stanisław Lem - good sci-fi from several decades ago. i also really like Greg Egan at the moment. (peep my goodreads profile @ http://www.goodreads.com/ratter )

music: uhhhhhh. my usual mode of enjoying music is "listen to a small handful of tracks over and over for 6 months". for like the past year i've been obsessed with Shrine, a spooky wild man on a quest for redemption through music [or words to that effect]. he plays grim hellbilly tunes about love and madness and addiction; howling vocals and plaintive trumpet and frenzied intricate fingerpicking.

i'm also in love with everything The Books have ever done. if i had to have obnoxious autoplaying background music on this profile it would be "An Animated Description Of Mr. Maps".
