ABOUT ME

My name is Tom, I'm 24 years old and from Germany. I love traveling and to discover new cultures. I'm a very open person and happy to meet people of any kind and to learn about their lives and experiences.

After completing my Bachelors Degree Psychology in Brussels, Belgium, I now live in Japan since August 2019. I'm trying to learn a lot about Japanese language and culture. I'm especially interested in mythology, Shinto as well as Buddhism, and any kind of Japanese folklore. I have been to Japan twice before, visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, as well as many places in Kyushu.

Apart from Japan, I have visited many countries in Europe, as well as the United States, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan and Israel.

I'm always willing to help out at the places I'm staying, so if you need an extra pair of hands feel free to ask me. I don't mind working, in fact I am very interested in learning about all different kinds of work.

Some other interests of mine include: Literature (both reading and writing), Running, Music, Tea, Psychology, Philosophy. I also meditate regularly and have joined a Vipassana course before.
