ABOUT ME

I'm an artist (mainly sculpture/video). I grew up in Michigan, lived in Paris then NYC, am currently in Chicago, and have my sights set on Berlin for the future. I like people. I love to wander. I can be loud, and I can be quiet, and I know when to be which.

PHILOSOPHY

I think the meaning of life is really just to have fun, but there are different qualities of fun... the marrow of existence is in the kind of fun that takes luck, work, and grace: happiness that nourishes. I could be described as an optimistic nihilist. I think that beliefs are perspectives that work best when held lightly, and that the only constants should be respect and kindness. I think the world is evolving, and everything is going to be ok.

Teach, Learn, Share

My skill set it is a mixed bag... I'm good at fixing things that are broken, I can write, edit writing, cast molds... I'm a medium-quality woodworker, I can mix drinks, choose wine, cook, bake, shoot and edit video and sound, sew and dye fabric... I usually forget what I can do until I'm asked to do it.

I'm happy to learn almost anything. The german language, new recipes, better ways to get on and off a bike... pretty much anything.
