About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to survive my education.
ABOUT ME
25 year old male looking for...oh wait, wrong website. ;D I was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to New Zealand when I was 4, with my family of course. I love this country and am keen to explore the rest of the world. One place I want to go in particular is Svalbard (largely due to the Northern Lights by Phillip Pullman); how amazing would it be to see a polar bear!? I'm an avid reader, a casual gamer, a dabbler in the drawing arts and love the outdoors. I also have the highly sought after skill of being able to tell the difference between a guitar and a piano.
PHILOSOPHY
"We shall not cease from exploration, and at the end of our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time" -T.S Elliot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am keen to give Couchsurfing a go and would love to host one day when i have my own place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None as yet, my fabulous girlfriend tells me great stories about her experiences constantly though!
Interests
I enjoy reading Fantasy, Sci-fi and classic literature. Gaming is one of my hobbies, such as League of Legends. If you haven't caught on thus far I am a bit of a nerd, I play Magic the Gathering, am stoked for board game nights and am currently immersed in Battlestar Gallactica. But thats not all! I plan to mountain bike all over the world and love hiking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flying over the Southern Alps of New Zealand on a clear day is pretty amazing.
One early morning in Wellington, NZ, I saw a pod of orcas up close!
Participating in the Call for Climate Action march in Christchurch, NZ.
Experiencing the Canterbury earthquakes was pretty intense too.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach psychology, Magic the Gathering, English, composting, technology (computers, networks etc).
I would love to learn more guitar, how to cook in different styles, eco-living.
I have stories to share about my travels and culture. Also, I'm always happy to share a beer! :)
