About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To rid the world of ignorant people

ABOUT ME

mindless chit chat, all music genres, chronic nite owl, backpacking, drinking good wine on the pier, adventure, taking 'detours', reading page-turner novels, running/marathons (not b/c I'm Kenyan), watching foreign/independent movies with subtitles, laying on the beach after midnight, hanging out with friends, steak enthusiast, being miserly, starting each day anew, balmy carolina summer nights, never again returning to the cold of upstate NY

PHILOSOPHY

Don't make someone a priority who makes you an option

Ignore what people say, pay attention to what they do

When they ask you if you would like fries with that, say hell no,I want another burger!

Hiking up Misti Volcano and down solo Colca Canyon in Peru. Ran a marathon by mistake. Steered a nuclear powered submarine . . . seriously. Saw presents fall down my parent's chimney one Christmas back in the 80s when I was a kid . . . still have no idea how they did it. Saw the sunset while driving across the desert mountains of southeastern New Mexico . . . just beautiful. Annual inflatable pool parties on mountain peaks of 11,000+ ft (3300+ m)

Teach, Learn, Share

Try not to be a tourist but rather a student of the language, culture, and customs

I'd like to learn Farsi, improve my French and Russian, and get more into outdoor activities like rock climbing, camping, and biking

I can teach you how to make Chapati, which is an Indian bread similar to naan and roti

I can whistle with my hands . . . no great feat, but cool to share

What I Can Share With Hosts

Great conversation. Awesome laughter. Cooking chapati.
