About Me

CURRENT MISSION

inventing human-wings without machinery

ABOUT ME

I am... a life-enjoyer, an optimist and always enthousiastic!
Pippi Longstocking is my big heroine!
I am a fairtrade-banana-lover (that's what someone who saw me for the first time, thaugth about me and it is true)
I have difficulties with making choices: there are too many nice, cool, interesting things to do, eat, listen to...
That's why I'm vegetarian, only one option to choose! (not true, I'm very concerned with our planet! but it is handy at the same time, and sometimes very frustrating ofcourse)
I love to know the story of people!
I like culture, trying to create it by myself and experiencing creatings of artists (theater, concerts, paintings... and everything what we can't give a name like that)
I've one addiction: second-hand shops!
Avontuur is niet duur! (what is: adventure is not expensive, but in Dutch it sounds great!)

PHILOSOPHY

I enjoy live so much as possible, but without forgetting my responsibilities here on earth. Enjoy and laugh! Be an optimist!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm waiting for my own couch to host people! (probably next september I'll have an own place!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

all very positive! I surfed in some places in Europe (Oslo, Budapest, Vienna, Krakow) and met great people, who were so kind for us and showed us nice places, that I never should found without them!
In the Philippines, there are some very active couchsurf-groups, where you are so welcome to join everytime!

Interests

Art (watch, listen, feel, experience, create)- stories of people - food (I'm not really a great talent for cooking, but I love food so much) - adventure - eco! (=sustainable development-topics)(don't dare to throw your plastics at the ground when I see that) - reading a good book - (slow) travelling - dancing 'til sunrinse - ...

Music, Movies & Books

Balkan-gypsie music and reggae-ska
Django Reinhardt, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Simon & Garfunkel, Tracy Chapman, Buena Vista Social Club, Mano Chao, (Belgian) Folkmusic (Naragonia, Ambrozijn, Aedo, Fluxus), Bart Peeters and so much more

Books: Just discovered The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy: GENIAL!

Movies: everyone say that I've 'a hole in my culture' (it's a Dutch expression, do you says it in English?)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” (A. Einstein)
So... my whole life was full of amazing things, miracles and surprises!

Teach, Learn, Share

I definitly can learn you about enthusiasm and life-enjoying!
And I can learn you the P-language, if you want to tell secrets so people can't understand you!

Oh, I also can learn you to see all kind of different figures in the clouds... but we need clouds ofcourse!

If someone can teach me how to fly like Arthur in the 'Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy', I should be soooo happy! There is one step I'm still missing..

Countries I've Visited

Croatia, France, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Senegal

Countries I've Lived In

Belgium, Philippines
