ABOUT ME

I retired in 98 following acareer as social worker, psychotherapist and university instructor and travelled in Central America and Asia. I lived in Thailand for seven years and now live in Rishikesh, India six months each year and travel when the heat gets to be too much in April. I like to be outdoors as much as possible with long walks early mornings and late afternoon with camera. I enjoy meeting new people of all ages and with different backgrounds and from different cultures. My closest friends are artists, therapists and educators. Enjoy singing and dancing, conversation, the arts (museums, theatre, music, dance, painters)but love to be in nature.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in an all pervasive God, a force that unites all. I believe in non-vilence. I believe that we are each born with positive and negative seeds (call it karma, if you will) and that those seeds sprout according to causes and conditons. I believe being kind and helping others in any way that we can; in sharing of what we know; of taking time to listen to others, while also being free to express your own thoughts, feelings, opinions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just becoming a member, so I haven't had any experiences with CS2 projects, but I look forward to doing so in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I worked as a volunteer for seven years on a Child Abuse Prevention Countil, five of which I was the
Chair. I was also instrumental in developed a Child Appointed Special Advocate's program, as well as a model program for the investigation of child sexual abuse. All required team work and I got great satisfaction from them.

兴趣

Sprituality. Have studied and practised Zen, Vipassan and Tibetan Buddhism over a forty year period; and for the past 14 months have been studying with a guru at his ashrams in India and Brazil. My guru in Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and a shaman and his path is one of love.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

LIfe constantly amazes me. There is a woman in Rishikesh who has no arms, only stubs. One of her legs is longer than the other and both are crooked and it with difficulty that she walks. Yet she always has the most beautiful smile and uses her feet and toes ingeniously in move and pick up and use objects.

I can share my experiences of my studies and practice of Buddhism (Zen, Theravada and Tlbetan) and what I have learned from those experiences.
Though not a professional photographer I's happy to share what I have learned about it in the past forty years, as well as sharing what I have learned about using photoshop.
I am always will to learn more about about cultures and behavior. And I would like to learn more about photoshop.
